Explorations In Fandom

I've shipped for numerous different people and shows, but right now JohnSherlock has stolen my heart.

Went to see the new Muppets film this afternoon, aside from being seated on the back row and having to climb ALL THE STAIRS with my gammy knee it was fantastic.

Did feel like the whole thing was a massive trailer for getting The Muppet Show back on TV though, which I could totally get behind. Loved the songs, and it made me reminisce about an era I wasn’t old enough to be part of really, which is quite impressive.

I really hope Bret McKenzie gets his oscar for the music, and not only because I’m a massive Flight of the Conchords fan.

“You’ve not been inside the right one, Graham.”

That little moment of squee when you find out that some people in the sherlock community have re-blogged something you posted.

I feel worthy for the first time *glee*

Benedict has got this intensity about him, and he’s obviously extremely intelligent and articulate. His vocal quality is something else. He obviously is, unlike many of us, like, an actually trained actor, he actually studied for it.
Chris Pine, regarding Benedict’s role in Star Trek 2.

So now Billy Connolly is in The Hobbit as well, I so can’t wait for this film(s).

Seriously, I mean, what is this, what is this promo pic supposed to tell somebody that hasn’t watched the show, is it “Oh there’s two British blokes and one of them is a 20 feet tall genius child that is seriously dependent on his flatmate, who is, in turn, a 40-something ex-soldier who wear ridiculous shirt-cardigan combos and is equally disturbed and turned-on by his flatmate’s attentions, watch it, there’s also some crime stuff in between all the crazy and gay also Sherlock’s scarf goes straight and stiff when he looks at John.”

I don’t think Martin is even in character as John, here. I think he’s Martin Freeman, looking at the photographer, thinking, “are you fucking kidding me with this pose?”
Also Sherlock’s scarf goes straight and stiff when he looks at John.

Yo, Sherlock fandom, I’m happy for ya and imma let you finish, but Life on Mars had one of the gayest promo pics of all time.

Of all time.
(Sorry Sherlock fandom, you know I don’t mean it, I love you all. I just couldn’t resist.)

Just spent the last 10 minutes re-discovering cats cradle with some shoelace.

I wonder if children even know what cats cradle is these days. Or French skipping.

I never knew that Andy Serkis was directing the second unit for The Hobbit. So amazing to see how well he’s done - he was a member of a society at uni I led (though before my time) which just makes me warm inside that ex members have gone on to greatness.

Obviously has a lot to do with him being awesome, and less to do with his university socialising, but it feels good nonetheless.

Was just watching Tron: Legacy for the first time since I saw it in the cinema, overcome with sadness that I’d heard nothing about a sequel in forever, when my friend pointing out Tron: Uprising to me.

… OMG - I don’t think I have ever been this excited about a Disney cartoon ever.

PS - Excuse to ogle some awesome Tron artwork again.
